Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Automation Quality Engineer (QE) to support Core Banking Transformation programs, specifically for Temenos upgrade initiatives from R18 to R25. The candidate will be responsible for API automation testing, integration validation, and regression coverage across core banking modules and interfaces.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Karate.
Create test scripts using BDD(Behavior Driven Development) Framework.
Develop and execute API test collections using Postman for functional and integration testing.
Validate Temenos core banking services, including interfaces, custom APIs, and third-party integrations.
Build automated regression suites for SIT, UAT, and release cycles during version upgrades.
Perform data validation across upstream and downstream systems.
Collaborate with Business Analysts, Functional SMEs, and Development teams to understand business flows and design test coverage.
Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins or equivalent).
Prepare automation test reports, defect logs, and execution summaries for stakeholders.
Support release validation and production shakedown activities.

Required Skills & Competencies
Strong hands-on experience in Karate Automation Framework.
Proficiency in Postman for API testing and automation scripting.
Solid understanding of REST/SOAP APIs, JSON/XML, and integration testing.
Experience working on Core Banking platforms, preferably Temenos (T24/Transact).
Strong understanding of SIT, E2E, and Regression testing in banking environments.
Familiarity with SQL for backend validation.
Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
Experience with version control tools (Git) and CI/CD tools.
Preferred Experience
Experience in Core Banking transformation or large-scale upgrade programs.
Understanding of retail/corporate banking products (Accounts, Loans, Payments, Deposits).
Knowledge of test management tools (JIRA, ALM, etc.)
Exposure to Temenos upgrade projects (R18 to R25 preferred).
